This wonderful 1930's/1940's ox bone necklace is a work of art.The bearded old man carries a staff which is connected to the figure at the back of the head. His kimono has a green pattern both front and back and the piece appears to have a signature on the foot. I am unsure of the age but the beads (approx. 0.34") which are bone as well and are strung and knotted between each bead. This leads me to believe the age of the 1930's/40's. The attachment of the netsuke appears to be gold (plate?) with no tarnish. The necklace is a total length of 18". All the beads are of equal size.
